Choosing Self-Dominion
The Mind of Science
Religious Science & The Science of Mind
Founded in 1927, Religious Science is a spiritual philosophy of mutual self-empowerment and self-dominion. It was alternately named "The Science of Mind and Spirit," subsequently abbreviated to "Science of Mind."
In current usage, the term "Science of Mind" refers to our spiritual principles, while "Religious Science" is our institutional support system for the teaching and living of these principles.
Science of Mind, a practical, ongoing synthesis of science, philosophy, religion and human experience, is a powerful way to be the very difference that one desires to make in the world. As such, it appeals to those whose intention to live in wholeness of perception and being takes precedence over maintaining a fixed religious position.
Science of Mind is not about Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Mohammed, or even its own founder, Ernest Holmes. It is rather about the practice of what all great spiritual teachers have themselves been about: living in accordance with our spiritual nature.
Ernest Holmes, who initiated the ongoing Science of Mind synthesis, characterized it as "open at the top." He thereby affirmed that his synthesis is to be perennially refreshed by the further unfoldment of our experience, expression and thought as we continue to celebrate "This Thing Called Life."
This is why, though Science of Mind was articulated by Holmes many decades ago, it is as relevant today as when it was conceived, especially when we view it from a more contemporary perspective.

In keeping with Ernest Holmes' openness to all avenues of insight, CeleNet is a multidimensional intersection for the ongoing synthesis of science, philosophy, religion and all other aspects of the human experience of wholeness.
